# Personalize Conveo with Your Memory

> Add, review, edit, and remove personal context used by Conveo's assistant.

**Your memory** includes personal memories and an automatically maintained activity summary. Personal memories store context about you, such as your role, team, and research priorities. Conveo uses approved memories to personalize Talk to Your Data and AI study setup. Use memories for durable context that should apply beyond one question.

Personal memories belong to your user account, rather than to one study or organization. If you work across organizations, avoid saving context that should apply only to a single study; include that context in the relevant conversation instead.

## Add a memory

1. Open **Settings → Account → Your memory**.
2. Select **Add memory**.
3. Enter a **Description** and **Answer**.
4. Select **Add memory** to save.

For example:

| Field | Example |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Description | Research priorities |
| Answer | I work on beverage launches in European markets. I need recommendations suitable for brand teams. |

Both fields are required. Descriptions support up to 200 characters; answers support up to 2,000 characters. You can type the answer or use the dictation control when available.

Completing the profile introduction also saves its answers as memories. Adding a memory manually counts as completing that profile setup.

## Review suggested memories

The **Detected from your chats** section appears when there are suggestions to review.

* **Approve** makes a suggestion active for future personalization.
* **Decline** keeps that suggestion out of the active memory list.

Pending and declined suggestions are not used as active memory. Conveo suppresses duplicate suggestions with the same description and answer, including suggestions you previously declined. This is not a guarantee that a differently worded suggestion can never cover a similar topic.

If the assistant offers to save a memory inside a conversation, saving it makes the memory active. Review its wording before saving.

## Edit or delete a memory

Use a memory's edit control to change its description or answer, then select **Save changes**. Use the delete control and confirm **Delete** to remove an active memory.

Edits and deletion affect the memory supplied to future assistant work. They do not rewrite answers, reports, or conversation messages already generated. Removing a memory is separate from deleting the conversation where the information was originally discussed.

## Review or clear activity memory

In **Your memory**, the **Activity memory** section shows a running summary of recent studies, open items, and topics you have been asking about. Conveo builds this summary automatically from your activity; it is separate from the personal memories you add or approve.

Activity memory belongs to you within the current organization. Review the read-only summary and select **Clear activity memory** to reset it for that organization. Future activity can rebuild the summary. Clearing activity memory does not delete personal memories, conversations, or study data. There is no approval queue for this automatically maintained summary.

## Behavior and limitations

Memories help tailor framing, examples, and recommendations. They do not grant access to studies or change study settings by themselves. Explicit instructions in your current conversation take precedence over remembered context.

Review AI-generated suggestions for accuracy. Keep a memory focused on a fact or preference you actually want reused, and update it when your responsibilities change.
