Find and organize interviews
Open Interviews in a study to review one row per interview, with available status, language, duration, participant information, quality indicators, and facets. Use column filters and search to narrow the list, and sort the results before reviewing individual rows. When a summary is available, hover over the participant cell to preview an AI-generated interview headline. Use the preview to find relevant interviews, then open the transcript to verify the summary against the participant’s responses. The initial view hides hidden interviews. After launch it filters to regular interviews; completed studies initially show completed or paid interviews. Check and change the active filters before concluding that an interview is missing. An empty grid can reflect its filters rather than an empty study. Use the heart control to favorite interviews you want to revisit. A favorite does not change eligibility, quality, or payment. See Monitoring fieldwork for interpreting statuses and deciding what to investigate.Review a transcript and recording
Open an interview row to inspect the conversation. Review the original transcript and, when available, its translation into the reporting language. Use the language view you intend to quote; a translation is an interpretation and can require correction. Select a timed response to find its place in the recording. Recording, timestamps, translations, and automated analysis may become available at different times. A completed interview does not guarantee that every media asset has finished processing or that usable video was captured. If a recording is available and you have video-download permission, use Download in the interview header to save its MP4. A video still being encoded cannot yet be downloaded; retry after processing finishes. An encoding failure needs investigation rather than repeated export attempts. Review available answer assessments and facet values alongside the response. These are analysis aids, not replacements for reading the participant’s answer. Use Facets for correcting coding, and Emotional analysis for reviewing detected cues.Inspect a camera quality check
When the interview includes a recorded Participant video quality check, expand the result above the conversation. The check and its frame inspector are available in both Original transcript and Translated transcript views. This is the same recorded check, not a new assessment produced by translating the interview. Review the available face visibility, lighting, framing, and environment assessments. Choose an attempt in its timeline, or Inspect … analysed frames when offered for a single attempt, to inspect the successfully analyzed frames and their individual results. A frame can contribute to the verdict even if its stored image is no longer available. An expired image link or missing image prevents visual inspection; it does not change the recorded verdict into a pass or failure. A dimension that was not reported is different from a failed dimension. Undetermined indicates insufficient processed frames to assess quality, rather than proof that the participant’s video was poor. Use the frames and surrounding conversation to review the result before making an exclusion decision. For participant-facing behavior, see The participant experience.Correct transcript text
With interview-management permission, open the edit control on a participant response. Edit the original text or translation according to the language view currently selected. Interviewer messages and empty participant messages do not offer this correction control. Save a faithful correction of what was said. The editor records previous versions, the editor, and the edit time. Use version history to restore a prior version of that text layer when needed. A correction updates the selected text layer and attempts to align the matching subtitles. Translation and search updates continue in the background. An original-text correction can cause an automatic translation to be regenerated; manually edited translations are protected and should be reviewed separately. Check any warning that captions could not be updated. Whole-message quote copies can be updated, while excerpts that no longer match may remain stale and need review. Existing reports, facet classifications, rendered reels, and downloaded files are not guaranteed to be regenerated by a transcript edit. For names, contact information, or other personal data, use Personal data review. Ordinary text correction is not a substitute for the dedicated redaction workflow.Hide or delete an interview
Use Hide to exclude an interview from the normal completed-interview analysis base while keeping it available for review. An optional reason can explain the decision. Panel partners may see that note, so write it for the intended audience. To bring an interview back, include hidden interviews in the grid’s filters and use Unhide. Removing the hidden flag restores eligibility; it does not prove that every previously generated output has been refreshed. Delete marks the interview for deletion and removes it from normal views and completed-interview analysis. It also prevents the participant from continuing that interview. Deletion is not an immediate erasure guarantee for recordings, generated outputs, shared copies, or exported files. See Personal data review for the data-handling boundaries.Report a participant
Use Report on the interview detail page or the reporting controls for selected grid rows when the recruitment source supports reporting. You need the relevant interview-management permission. Describe the issue and choose the available reporting and payment options. Review the source recording and recruitment context first; a fraud signal or low quality score is not proof of misconduct. For supported external providers, Conveo submits the report to the provider before marking it locally. A failed provider submission does not complete the reporting action. For a supported panel-partner source without an external reporting integration, the report is recorded for the partner portal rather than automatically sent to an external system. Successful reporting flags the participant and hides the interview. Payment handling depends on the provider, selected option, and payment state. Do not assume that reporting reverses an already-paid incentive or that every provider has a five-day reporting window. If no report control is available, check the recruitment source and contact your panel contact or Conveo support.Export the data you need
Open Export and choose the format for your task:
The transcript-export workflow uses completed, visible, non-test interviews and its own date selection. If a legacy completed interview has no completion timestamp, the date selection falls back to its creation date. The custom export excludes hidden, deleted, and test/synthetic interviews, and uses its configured statuses. These workflows do not simply inherit the grid’s selected rows or all of its filters.
Transcript exports run in the background; use the export history to check completion and download the result. Export controls can require data-export or video-download permission and analysis of completed interviews first. Check the displayed scope and any analysis message before downloading.
Review exports before sharing. Previously downloaded files are independent copies and do not update after hiding an interview, correcting a transcript, or redacting personal data.
